John Motson OBE the voice of football, whose remarkable 40 year broadcasting career has made him a national institution, will be drawing the winning tickets at The Hospice Lottery Partnership’s Superdraw, which will be held at Grove House in Waverley Road, St Albans.
The Hospice Lottery’s Superdraw is an annual event with a top prize of £5000 and 64 other cash to be won. Last year’s Superdraw raised a staggering £97,000 from one draw alone, a most valuable source of income for the partner hospices. Last year’s top prize winner was absolutely delighted when he was presented with a cheque for £5000 he said “I was happy to be supporting my local hospices and the fantastic work that they do, but then to have a winning ticket as well was just wonderful, I have had such pleasure sharing my good fortune with others”. |

The Hospice Lottery is a very successful fundraising partnership that raises valuable additional funds for 7 local hospices. The Hospice Lottery partnership has recently reached the significant milestone of £5,000,000 of income since it first started just over 10 year’s ago. Last year £468,000 was distributed between the partner hospices which was enough funding to pay the annual salaries of 19 hospice nurses.
There are currently 16,000 members in The Hospice Lottery’s weekly draw with a great chance of winning one of 101 cash prizes ranging from £10 to £1000 every week.
