Rennie Grove Hospice Care
Rennie Grove Hospice Care is a charity providing care and support for adults and children with cancer and other life-limiting conditions - and their families - in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, giving patients the choice to stay at home, surrounded by their families and friends.
Every year the charity cares for thousands of patients through a 24/7 Hospice at Home service, Family Support Services and Day Services at Grove House.
Rennie Grove’s 24/7 responsive Hospice at Home service is unique in the local area. With teams working a shift system during the day and a dedicated night team, specialist nurses provide practical nursing care and support in patients’ homes. They also offer valuable support to carers and family members.
The range of Day Services based at Grove House in St Albans offers therapeutic care to help patients cope right from diagnosis as well as providing a vital support network for families. Through specialist assessments the skilled staff are able to offer advice, practical help and coping strategies to empower patients to enhance their quality of life.
Rennie Grove’s services are provided at no cost to patients or families but the charity is reliant on the generosity of the local community to fund over 85% of its annual running costs. By playing The Hospice Lottery you contribute vital funds to help them reach all the families who need them.
Rennie Grove Hospice Care is the name for the charity formed in 2011 incorporating Iain Rennie Hospice at Home and Grove House.
Having a consistent source of income like this every year enables us to plan to meet the challenges of providing more care with added confidence."
