Mrs W plans to fund her son's wedding

Sometimes it can be tricky deciding how to spend your Hospice Lottery winnings. The top prize winner of our Summer Superdraw 2014, Mrs W from Kings Langley, was “over the moon” to have won. She’s been playing The Hospice Lottery for over four years, as a way of saying thank you for the care her husband received from the Specialist Care team at The Hospice of St Francis.

“He received such wonderful care from The Hospice of St. Francis; I was only too happy to sign up for the Lottery to give something back. I never thought I’d win anything, but as they say “If you aren’t in it, you can’t win it!”

But when it comes to spending the winnings, Mrs W, who works at a local bathroom and kitchen hardware company, said: “My son is getting married next year and I have said he can have some towards the reception. My other son is happy with that – provided I spend some of the money on myself”

“It’s funny, when you don’t have much money you think ‘Oo I’d love this or that’ but when you actually get some you can’t decide how to spend it”

What our worthy winner has decided is that she wants extra tickets for the Christmas Superdraw, to give to her friends and colleagues and give them the chance to win too.
